Based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs, the movie tells the story of a young boy Jacob who embarks on a journey on an island to find the answers of his secret questions about horror. On his way, he discovers what is known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children from where the story begins.
In this movie there was a boy named jacob portman. When Jacob is young, he idolizes his Grandpa Abe, his garndpa has participated in war and also worked in circus. Grand abe use to tell many stories to jacob and shows him photos of peculiar children like invisible boy, strong girls. Jacob believes these tall tales until he gets old enough not to. As jacob grows up he stops believing in grandpa’s peculiar children.
When Jacob is fifteen, his grandfather starts ranting and raving about monsters coming to get him. Jacob and his dad write it off as dementia. Big mistake: When Jacob goes to check on his grandfather, he finds him dead… and he comes face to face—well, face to tentacle—with the monster that killed him. His grandpa dies in his arms but before dyeing he utter most cryptic last word since ” Rosebud .”
No one believes that a monster killed Grandpa. After his grandpa’s death Jacob starts having nightmare and he goes in dipreesion. His psychiatrist, Dr. Golan, suggests he go to the island where Grandpa was raised, and maybe find the explanation behind his mysterious dying words.
